The Air Force Museum - GH1 + Canon FD

[GMC]

Hi everybody, please find my latest GH1 short on vimeo here:

A stroll through the Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. A great place to visit - you can see all sorts of ancient, cold war, recent and R&D airplanes there - fantastic for all aerospace fans.

Very dimly lit, hence I was mostly using the Canon FD 50mm f1.4 lens. It provides a level of low light sensitivity which is absolutely amazing. Filmed in smooth mode, 1080p24, all settings -2 except for color saturation set to 0. For the wides I used the kit lens, which I had to use at iso 800 (FD at iso 100).

Have fun, Gunther.

I love to watch your stuff becaue you understand the gh1 and get some of the best results I've seen. But please, dear god upload the 1080p version. Upconverted 720p looks like mush unless it's all close ups. These are all wides so when I watch it on a 1080p screen everyones face is mush.

Haha, thanks. Well, if I upload in 1080p I'm not shure that I can get it below the 500MB Limit in Vimeo without overcompressing too much. Let me give it a try.

But keep in mind, that it was mostly shot with the Canon FD at f1.4, hence it naturally can't be that sharp, it is soft from the very start. I needed the wide open iris because it was so dark in some areas.

best regards, Gunther
