The 2nd Annual International DVXFest Screening Event in Los Angeles

wow, fast trip there Noel ... was great to meet you and congrats on your film

It really was a fun event ... was great meeting everyone, especially since the friendly atmosphere that we have here on the site just moved over to that public venue ... was very much an extension of hanging here on the site.

Definitely looking forward to hanging / working with many of you in the future ... and definitely excited already about next years screening.

Just curious, how did you know what the exact temperature was in Baker?? ;)

Glad everyone had a good time. Great meeting those of you I hadn't, and great seeing those of you I met last year again. The place was actually in really good condition when everyone left, and I appreciate that. I'd happily host again.

Of course, a trip to Australia is seeming appealing too...

i'll answer that one. baker is home of what they claim to be the world's largest thermometer. it's huge and you can see it from the freeway. and yes, it's hot as hell in baker.

Hey all, I had a great time at the event. Nice to see a lot of you. Sorry I didn't get to hang out afterwards - had to get home (and to bed) for an early event in the morning.

Zak and Jason - great job! Cheers to all the participants! And congrats to the winners!

There was a lot I liked . . . I really REALLY enjoyed Mark Harris's teaser film . . . what was the name? The one with the girl's vision bouncing from that bluish hue to color. Amazingly cool and compelling concept! I was blown away and very inspired.

I may have to host another P2HD User Group meeting in Los Angeles before summer's end. We'll see. I've been so incredibly busy these days that I feel I've fallen off the map (for DVXUser) these days. But I'm still around. :)

Heh, heh... Actually the giant thermometer wasn't on then... Guess they turn it off during business hours... But, my van told me :)

lateer,
Jason

Had a blast! Nice seeing everyone again. Zak - Nice job, that venue was great! Sound/picture was awesome. Doug, thanks for having everyone over for the after party. Your place is sweeet! Got to meet some people I haven't met yet and got to hang with some folks from last year. We need to keep getting this bigger and bigger. Also, thanks as well to Jason and DVXuser for giving people the inspiration to make a film.

We need to keep getting this bigger and bigger.

You said it... Fat Monster kicked this thing off last year and planted the seed for having a live screening, and Zak took it to a whole new level this year... Next year.... <cue 365 day long drumroll> :)

later,
Jason

Well its back to Oklahoma for Chandler and I... A HUGE thanks to everyone in LA and to the others that travelled for the screening for entertaining us and showing us a great time. Looking forward to being back next year or hopefully sooner. Sooner would be good.

Next year I vote for pyrotechnics...
