The 18 to 55 mm E mount lens, is it any better than the 18 to 200?

After over 25 years of commercial video work, I am loving the quality of the FS 100 with my manual focus Nikkor primes. But there are times when my over 50 year old eyes have trouble focusing accurately and quickly. I need auto focus, but I cannot bring myself to buy questionable glass, and there seem to be too many questions about the kit lens for me to get it, particularly when I know it will get a good bit of use.

Does anyone have any experience with the only other e mount lens with image stabilization and auto focus, the 18 to 55?

I have used the E18-55mm on the Glidecam Hd2000 and perform really good, is cheaper than the 18-200mm and the weight is a lot less this is better for balance and cheaper too, of course get the 18-200mm if do you need this kind of versatility, but for what i read booth lens are very sharper and performs very well, the only times i use the Image stabilization is to help the Glidecam but usually use the tripod for my kind of work.
