Ah yes, the Crocodile Dundee reference...the Aussie equivalent of self-deprecating humor.

Wow, now THAT is a sensor. " The sensor measures 95 x 95 millimeters....". Gee, what focal length lens would be "Normal" for that sucker?
Somebody ought to let Peter Jackson know about that. He may want to use it to make "Hobbit Two: Electric Boogaloo"!

135mm. If you are really shooting square format, which hardly anyone would, still or video.
If you shoot more rectangular, say 16:9, you get 95 x 53.4 mm, and a "normal" lens for that would be around 110 mm.
Well, you did ask, yes?

this one is even bigger, but this kind of sensor is hardly new - take this one, for example: http://www.fairchildimaging.com/documents/CCD486DataSheetRevCMarch2010.pdf it is 60x60mm, 4096x4096, and it will take cheap and standard medium format lenses from the 60s (e.g. Zeiss for the Pentacon Six mount) if you aim for a 4096x2730 crop - I think it's mostly used in medical&health and military - I have no idea about the price, but I guess "not cheap" will be an understatement

Red buys that little company, immediately announces a new camera called the "Epic Monstro Humongo" a camera to end all cameras. Of course they have to invent a new technology to power it so Jannard builds the Wardenclyffe Tower at Red Ranch to beam energy to all users. They brag about doing so free of charge (pun) but you have to buy a module to receive the power and unfortunately this module isn't compatible with any other previous Red product and doesn't fit any known accessory mounts so you have to buy new ones milled of pure unobtanium, otherwise there will be a reaction with the power unit ending in catastrophic failure. Unfortunately there are problems creating the mounts and only 3 are ever created all of which are stolen by Arri and subsequently melted down, formed into sunglasses and distributed to Arri's new corporate partner Sony.
