Thailand Festival Footage

Quick clips from last weeks Naga Fireball Festival in northeastern Thailand. Basically, most Thai people believe every full moon, in the month of October, mythical serpents, or "Nagas," shoot fireballs into the night sky. (NOTE: If there's fireballs shooting from your Naga I suggest penicillin.) The Naga serpents do this to pay homage to Buddha. Skeptics believe the fireballs are man-made and pay homage to the local economy :P  Sorry, couldn't get any of the actual fireballs on tape.

P.S. The music is from the movie, The Little Emporer (David Byrne). This video was just for practice. My first night with the camera, AE, green-screen, and Premiere. The DVX100 is way out of my league. Honestly, I think the DVX is embarrassed to be seen with me.

LOL... That was very interesting... I think i looked great.
It looks as if you had a good time shooting it.
Do you live there... or just visiting?

Re: Thailand Festival Footage

Thanks bryster. Yes I live in northeastern Thailand (across the river from Laos), where I am a teacher at a college and recently opened a small computer shop/internet cafe (dial-up only! aghhh!). Unfortunately, until I get back to the states, all my footage will have a Thai theme. Not a lot of diversity here.

DVXuser.com is great!
