Text and random transition effects

How I recreate those lines and random text and transition effects and the random screens that pop up seen in this video? Tutoirals if possible.

The live action sequences are just simple 'editing/cutting', etc. The slomo could be done with a camera, or timewarping... due to the smoothness, it may be 'in camera' highspeed, that is slowed down for
replay...

For the text/graphics, depending, composing little 'text/graphics' clips, with transparency maintained, then dropping those in to a composition and sizing appropriately... or maybe there's some templates for the widgetry... sort of like the headsup displays and the like...

Here's a result for a quick search for such an example:
If you go to the Youtube site, this fellow has an example AE project for download...

Some amount of work, but looks pretty straight forward to me...

Thanks for this link. It's great, I'm learning a lot just looking at the project file. The way he does the sliders and things with expression control, especially on the source text for the % has been eye opening for me.

I think an important distinction to make is that nothing is "random" about this video.
It looks well planned and conceived. That's the real key- no tutorial can give you that. :]
Come up with an awesome but simple concept, and figure out the best way to convey it.

. . . . the tutorials will help you figure out the best way to convey it! :D

I couldn't have said it better. Music videos should provide an interpretation of what the song is about. Your effects should help provide clarity of that interpretation not define. All the effects in the world can't cover up if you have a bad story. Just know that
