Testing the Digital Praxis's Gammas on the F900/3

As i mentioned in the video, there was some slight color banding in the images.. i dont know why given im recording out of the component 10bit output but with some work its looking like the dynamic range has vastly improved over the ITU709 color space the F900 came with.

I've realized the noise is a cable issue not a camera or sensor issue. looks like im going to have to get new BNC cables for the component out.

The DR actually does look nice.

Sometimes I wonder to myself...it seems like with the amount of money you've spent on this system, you could have probably had like a nice cinema camera that was made in the last year or so by now.

But if it makes you happy, that's all that truly matters.

I didnt spend as much as you think.. honestly no more than a rigged out GH4 or 5... and i'd much prefur an F900 over a HDSLR.. just me though. Trust me, if i could afford an F23/35 or a used 1st generation Alexa id get one in a heartbeat but im not there yet financially. im very happy with the F900/3.

Alexa and F35 is more expensive. But F23 bodies cost as little as FS700 now. If you like 2/3" F23 is better than F900.

I'm aware F23 is better than F900 on paper. I cant afford an F23 right now and im completely content on my F900/3.
