GH2 Testing S mode exposure. Failure?

Hi all. Since 6 months ago I have the camera, with the 14-140 kit lens and other manual lenses, working always in movie creative and M modes and looking for the reference exposure in the screen. If I change to S mode (always in movie dial) I can move the speeds (usually 50) and I hear and see as the iris of the kit lens changes its f value trying to get the optimal exposure... but the screen doesn't show me which is this f number and (worst of all) doesn't tell me anything when I am under or over exposition. If I change the dial to S position and try to take a picture then I have (first pressing the shutter botton) all the information that I need (f number changing... or in red colours when the exposure is out the limits). Am I missing anything? Why only in movie mode (the most that I need) this happens? I have read the (incredible crappy) manual about 4 times... and I can't resolve it. May be is it a bug from my camera? (PAL land).
Thanks in advance.

Are we talking about the GH2 or GH1? You should have an exposure meter at the bottom of the screen so you can gauge your exposure level.

GH2. The exposure meter is only present in M exposure mode in my camera when shooting video.
