I wanted to do a shoot test, at a certain time of day when the sunlight was pouring into my backyard. So I had my dad walk towards camera. Indeed it is a video format, but which format I think will surprise you most.
I shot this on a small Sony one-chip camera, 60i, no manipulation in camera at all, and no lens adapter.
One is post, I converted the frame rate to 24p, via Greame Natress' Gfilm converter, and of course did some extensive colour grading, diffusion, black crushing, and and masking to darken the corners.
I know the image is small, but I think it's a pretty nice image from a one chip camera.
I did the shoot test with none of the post manipulation in mind.
I didn't think it was interlaced whatever it was. So Greame's stuff works there! And you too I didn't think film for sure. I figured video, but thought it was progressive. So for that, I am pretty impressed.
But then, I am no expert eye either, so don't feel too good about yourself
