Admittedly my garden is not the most exciting place to share online, but I had to test somewhere....
Today the UPS guy dropped off my GH1. An hour later it was a GH13. Cheers to Vitaliy Kiselev for the Hack. Donate to the cause!
I switched NTSC to PAL, made it 25p native and because of the native p used lower bitrate settings to avoid peaks leading to card errors (at least this was what I gathered from the dvxuser forums). The SDHC card is a 16GB class 10, 30MB/s from Sandisc (the Extreme)
My Settings:
-Video bitrate adjustment - c)40000000
-Overall bitrate adjustment - c)46000000
-Limiting bitrate adjustment - c)54000000
These are the first settings I tried and coming from an HMC150 I'm very pleased
. Though I don't quite fancy the bokeh from the stock lense quite as much as from my SGPro 35mm adapter.
So far, recorded 20 minutes, 10 minutes in one go:
no errors. tried some high detail scenes and movement but there is no mud (to my eyes anyway).
Note: This clip has been sized down to 720p and reduzed to 4mb/s. So compression artefacts are exactly that: compression artefacts. They do not appear in the original files
EDIT: Hmm come to think of it....I guess for people here it would be more valuable to have high bitrate files, not this thing here...I just can't upload 600mb with my slow connection.
Well, maybe you enjoy at least the bugs
