I've paid tonnes of money getting various vintage anamorphics and they've all been a struggle in one way or another, those lenses that aren't a hassle cost ludicrous amounts of cash, so it's almost like having an epiphany to finally have an anamorphic that's actually practical to use.

I understand that for final delivery to clients you want to keep the full 2.5k resolution on the horizontal, but for those on computers that cannot rescale to 1080, perhaps a version with black bars would provide more access, especially when talking about web sharing.

Just a thought. Anyway, thanks for sharing (even if there is no video.....:Drogar-Happy(DBG):)
 
I've added links as well, as the videos weren't showing in the thread. I assumed as the videos play fine on the PC and iPhone they would generally but I know a few people on the Mac struggle. I'm doing a music video tomorrow with the lens and I'll YouTube that so it'll be more accessible.
 
I haven't yet but I think the 25mm would pair well with it, the only thing with the 25mm is you'd have to put a lens support on rails due to the weight of the adapter on the end. I will make an effort to do a video with this combination in the next week.

From SLR Magic direct, I volunteered to be one of the testers so that I could get the adapter early. It can be used with a number of lenses, it comes with a step-up ring set.

Wow... I hadn't seen this. What a cool option for shooting with still lenses. I bet this is going to be a big hit. The flares look fantastic! I thought I was on board the Enterprise for a minute there.. calling JJ Abrams.
 
Finally saw the video. Very nice. Looks like a must-purchase for my new GH4.

Have you had a chance to test it with the 25mm?
 
Not yet, it's on my to do list. I'd like to record a live gig anamorphic as there will be loads of opportunity to get interesting flares off the lighting rig. If time permits on the weekend I'll try the 25mm T0.95 at night around the park I used for the 1st video.

I'm in process of doing an outdoor music video with the lens, but I'm stuck to sunny days and with the UK climate, it's at least another week before I'll get one. I'm buying a second anamorphot for sure, so I can do multi-angle anamorphic shots to speed along my workflow. I'm becoming partial to trying anamorphics with pyrotechnics... :Drogar-Shock(DBG):
