Hey guys... here's some test footage I shot for an umcoming short. Here's my dilema: I REALLY want to use this location, but the problem is that when I properly expose my subject, the background gets blown out. That's because the bench that he's sitting at is partially in the shade, and the background has no shade, so the street and the sky get blown out.
On this footage I blocked off all the direct sunlight on the subject (cause it was uneven), then I used numerous bounce boards to light him back up evenly. Well, he's still a little dark compared to where I'd like it. My light guy is thinking of using a mirror bounce, and bouncing it into my regular white bounce's to lighten him up.
I think we've got that part taken care of... now my major concern is one important shot. It's the one where the camera glides past the trees from about 30ft away from the subject. It's the shot about 1/3 or 1/2 way through the test footage. Well, I can't light him up the way I'd like too, cause we'd see the setup in the shots, but I REALLY need that shot. As you can see, the background is WAY blown out, and it even looks much worse on a bigger screen. I can't block off ALL the sunlight back there, so what are my options?? wait for the sun to be hidden by clouds? say "screw it" and use the shot with the blown out background?
Anyway, here's the link. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

p.s. I stole a bit of the "music" from someone else's short on this site. I won't be using it, I just wanted a bit of ambience to set the mood to see how it fit, and just haven't taken it down yet.
