Temporal Retiming

Actually I dont know what temporal means but I have been trying this..

(with some golf swing shots from http://www.vimeo.com/6174177)

The idea..

Get a clip, lets say 10 seconds, 300 frames

Export to images 300

and delete some of them , like 50 then import the images to a clip

Then you have 25FPS

First effort I deleted every sixth, - stutters

Next effort I deleted one of every six randomly picked from that six - stutters lots less - because the jumps dont have rythym

then I got fully whacky and actually went through the clip looking for similar frames delete that were similar to thier neighbours - interesting IMO

The effect of this is to speed up the movement free parts of the to 25/30 clip and slow the move parts of the clip to near 30/25
While retaining the clip duration

Also when I deleted a frame I layered it in PS opacity 50% to the frame before creating an intra frame - I felt very in control of these frames !

I think I can do this faster than a CT conversion - or more realistically I could do a nearest frame in CT and then custom do the bits that fail faster than rendering a whole movie on better or best in CT

My plan was to do this on conversion which fail on fast movement

Any thoughts?

hehe it would only take you about 5 years to process every frame on an action film, surely there will be a 24p DSLR by then.

Im talking about doing it on very short durations where software fails - like the swing of a golf club

As for a vit D deficniency are you suggesting too much time spent at screen?

I was actually doing some other paid for post on another computer while doing this !
