Teleprompting

The EZ Prompter looks like it's just reflecting a printed script... Their EZP LCD Mount, together with the 15" LCD monitor, is more like what's usually used for a camera-mounted prompter.

Was just looking at some of Prompter People's new stuff today, the hardware looks decent but I've never seen their software run. (I personally am a fan of EZ Prompt software, which is nothing to do with the EZ Prompter product or that company, it's a totally different outfit. :) )

Here's some Teleprompting software a friend and I wrote, feel free to use it.

The good news: The price, if you wish to use it, is a recomended donation of $10 to www.isara.org

I've used the easy prompter, and yes, it simple reflects the script. The script will need to be mirrored before being placed face down on the prompter. Another option is to place the script face up and shine a light down onto the paper so it reads through correctly for the talent to read. If you do this, you have to be careful about light coming through and hitting the lens thereby affecting your color temp.

As far as quality, its not the best piece of equipment I've ever bought - but it works in a pinch.

$600 seems like a lot of money for something like that. For another $200 I can get a D9 from prompterpeople.
