Hi Folks, first time DVX user.
I took the plunge and bought one from Ebay and just got it today. I am new to the Video world and I would not do justice in reviewing this lens like all you pro's. I am willing to trade this for something of equal value or $$. Anybody interested?

Sorry! I told you I was new to all this. So, how should I proceed? What would be the correct way to capture the true quality of the lens or any lens etc....
Let me know so I can provide the stills for everybody to see.

So pick a subject that has a relitive amount of detail to zoom into, have it well lit and lock off the camera, as not to move that is. Then shoot some footage in 24p and take note of the camera settings. Do the same with the lens mounted and transfer the footage to your Hard disk. Use your regular editing programme to export a frame and upload it to any location of your choice that you can link us up to to have a look. A more in depth review would eventaually be a more proficient users job . . . maybe when Jarreds lens falls out of e-bay limbo

Ha ha ha... well not so funny. I got it today, and it will be going back tommorow.
If you ever borrowed the coke bottle glasses from that poor nerdy kid at school and looked through them that is what you get.
Im not talking just crappy optics, Im talking about it not even be usable, unless of course you are shooting Fear and Loathing 2.
The lens wont focus past 70, and under 95 it vignettes.
Wait till you guys see the frame grabs from this hunk of crap.

and in case you couldnt tell by those grabs... there is absolutely no extention of the lens.. meaning you get the same focal length with or without the thing on.

I just saw this rad deal on ebay and bought myself 8 of those things. I was like, yeah for this price I could get 8 telephoto adapters for the price of one, so I could have like a 16times magnification! It would be like useing an 11,520mm lense.

ha ha would be cool if you did.. specially if you got my "model" that doesn't magnify, you would have an 5 foot extension that didnt do squat.. but man you would cool and the chichs would dig ya.
