Telephoto add-on lens

A while back, there was a great discussion of 43mm wide angle lenses for the HMC40. Now I am wondering if anyone has tried any of the tele lenses. After doing a bit of research, it seems the choices would be from Canon, Panny and Raynox. Century does seem to play in the segment.

Have any of you used on or purchased one? Any recommendations. This isn't really for pro use, I am planning a wildlife vacation and thought a tele might be fun

I used a Raynox on my HMC 150 with moderate success. There is no room to zoom with these add on lenses and light loss is significant and they are not too sharp in comparison to a proper lens. In my case it worked out fine for shooting world class kite surfer and boarder Brian Talma. I needed only ten seconds of usable footage for the project and the Raynox worked fine and the haze and spray from the ocean helped to mask the lens shortcomings. If you are looking for fine quality sharp shots of Yogi bear from a safe distance...Raynox is not the tool. IMHO

Thanks Brian,

I was suspicious I would get this response. I wouldn't care so much about the light loss or barrel issues, but I would want it sharp.
