Tekkon batteries + ______ = extended AF100 run times?

I have a Vagabond II that I can use to power the AF100's AC adapter. Not very portable, nor efficient, but it would work, and probably last a very long time; a more direct 12V > AF100 adapter would last even better without a 12VDC > 110VAC > (AF100)DC conversion.

The above idea led to another one, running the camera from a Tekkeon battery. Has anyone else thought about it, or tried it?

i wouldn't. It's too easy to accidently switch to the wrong voltage on that battery. Unless they changed the design.

They actually did change the design, the R2 is the current model. It moved the dip switches from the front to under the unit and put a USB port in the front. The switches under the unit are covered with a rubber 'door'. We carry a rod mount kit that is very popular for those using the Tekkeon 3450i bundles on a set of rods. We actually include them free with the battery units.
