Technicolor Cinestyle best without LUT?

I tried to apply less curve to the cinestyle footage and it seems to have a better quality than using the LUT curve by Technicolor. That curve makes cinestyle look as Standard
See the test here:

Beautiful work. What exactly is the shape of the curve you are using.

(Also I posted an edit on vimeo.com wit copyrighted music and it got bounced, yours seems to have no problem.)

Thanks for posting....that was amazing. It's work like this that is DRIVING the DSLR Revolution forward. VERY PLEASING TO WATCH!!

So did you just use an RGB curves adjustment in After Effects and then touch each clip to your liking? I assume you added brightness and contrast and brought the contrast up a little as well?

first post in the 5dmark2 section, GH1 owner... soon to be 5dmk2

been looking into this technicolor profile, yeah i agree about no LUT, prefer the washed out raw look (sometimes) before adding the LUT/s-curve!

great choice of song too! the big "O" otis redding, truly my all time hero!

Oh noo the Cinestyle way you've made it looks very wrong to me. On my monitor, their skin is so pastel and grey and devoid of any saturation - which is the opposite of film and really unpleasing to my eye - you may wanna do a secondary colour correction on their skin tone.

Great editing and colours of the field though.
