Technical problem with HD portion of camera

Hi everyone

Got a problem with my HVX-200. When I record to the P2 cards I get distorted audio and snow for the picture. I record to the Mini DV tape its fine.

What could be the problem? I haven't done anything to the camera and was shooting on P2 the day before it was working fine.

I would format the P2 card and try recording to it again. If no go, could be a bad card. Hook up a firewire and see if you can record into Imovie , might tell you something (the reason I say Imovie instead of FCP is , for whatever reason, I have never been able to capture or record DV with FCP)
 
bad lighting will give you snow (aka noise) and over modulation will give you distorted audio. it may not be the card.

there may be some settings issues here also......
