Hey

I have just recently bought my first External monitor for focusing with my HVX and I have never used one in the past. So I was hoping to get some help on the process of setting it up to my camera. I know its probably simple and I apologize for the noob question but I just want to make sure I don't damage in any way the monitor or the camera by doing something wrong. The monitor is the Manhattan HD 8900 and I just need to know the basics process on how to set it up and power the monitor to my HVX.

Now what I assume I have to do is connect the component cable from monitor to the HVX then power the HVX first? or the monitor first? Or does it matter at all? Thanks for any help.

Johnny

It should make no difference at all which order the camera and monitor are powered-up. Interconnecting any two pieces of video (or audio, for that matter) is simply a matter of selecting corresponding modes/interfaces/connectors at each end. Experiment with your equipment before you need to use it so that you can get everything set up without anxiety.

Aren't "pictures without sound" photographs?

It's been a slow day :)
