Teaser Trailer for feature shot on DVX100A

That hallway shot looked really cool. The sound needs some major work done on it. I hope you got some good production sound while you were out there.

I agree with Drew, backlighting in hallway is gorgeous. Oh, love the title too, by the way.

Dude. opening shot...worked great with the over black narration, liked the trailer, kept me entertained even without music, keep up the good work.

Hey guys, glad you are enjoying it. I'll try to field your questions going up the ladder as it were:

dvpixl~ yes, yes it is.

Rasquachemedia~ I posted a group of color corrected screen grabs for this project back when I first start capturing footage.

InvisionProductions~ We were originally trying to get a composer to whip up something quick but axed that idea when we layed down the temp "music as a sound fx" track. Maybe for the full length trailer it will have music.

Smithhouse~ On the current schedule it would be cut, cced, and sound mixed by early January 06. It'd probably be earlier if i wasn't in my last semester of college.

mastermind & royK~ I personally think the amazing thing about that hallway shot is we didn't use any additional lighting. Thats just how the hall looks when the sun shoots in.

stevesnj~ Thank you but I can't take all the credit for the project. I work with a very talented group of people.

t-unit~ this is the only question I can't really answer. I've been warned by the guy who created the monster costume to not let slip what they are until the film comes out, sorry.

wbfish~ I dig it too. At present I haven't gotten around to editting that sequence so I'm not sure if I'll even be able to get that shot into the film. It's got a creepy texas chainsaw massacre feel to it that I really enjoy.

Drew599~ I guess that hallway shot is the winning shot on the teaser. As for sound do you have any specifics you didn't like or just the whole mix in general? I'd like to pass on any ideas to my sound designer.

Thanks again guys. This community has just been amazing.

looks very impressive. the color and contrast in that quick shot of the blood on the white floor really reminded me of some of those japanese freak-out gore flicks for some reason(and i mean that as a compliment!). i really would like to check out the whole film.

Looks cool man! You really need to polish the sound. It took me out of the piece. Good Luck!

I plan to have the film mastered (sound and color) when I finish editing.
Also I plan to get that Broken DVD when I get some of that stuff... money? Haven't had much $$$ since I started this flick. :cheesy:

filmsaboutdeadpeople~ I'm a fan of Miike's work so that might have be why you get that vibe.

Thanks again for the kind words.

Looked great. Someone mentioned the sound being bad and I totaly agree. The pictures look really good, so try and clean up the sound so it doesn't ruin the production value you got goin on. Tim.

The overall look is very crisp and clean. I am listening w/ crappy speakers right now, so I can't say much about the sound. Seems like an interesting concept. The hallway shot was very nice.

Not to single you out but could someone who has watched the teaser give me a more in depth critique of the sound? Is it the production sound, musical notes, sound fxs, etc? I really would like to know since I'm currently cutting the full trailer and would like it to be as solid as possible, thanks.

Also, I ordered the Broken DVD off Amazon (Forgot I had some Bday amazon cash) hopefully I can gleam some good information off it when it arrives.
