Hi everyone...

I recently shot in China, India, Pakistan, Iran... my (future) new film (documentary? or whatever you call, when I will finish to edit it will have a name/style...).

I'd like to share travel experiences with video equipment. How trouble can be to move alone (or with limited crew) through far away places.

My trip toke place in those "hard moving" countries, alone, without airplane, loaded with an EX1, a glidecam 4k with a homeselfmade "vest", laptop, external hd, an a700, 1 levis 501, 2 boxer briefs, 2 pairs of socks, 2 t-shirts, 1 nobrand boots, and a fake gore-tex northwind made in china... :-P for around 3 months I've moved from shanghai to barcelona.

I'm a little slow editing, dont know when i will finish... but here's the teaser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t555wwZan9A

Anyone with travel experiences, please share.

Man, the user films section is DEAD lately. What happened?

Anyway. Lovely, lovely images. Do you know yet what the central theme/story of the piece will be? Is it going to be an actual telling of your journey, or more of a living experience like Baraka?

Which of the places you went through were most/least friendly towards cameras? I did some traveling in West Africa last year, equipped only with a Nikon D90, and even then I noticed often substantial changes in attitude towards the camera even just from one town to the next.

Hi Doug... thanks for you comment about my images : )

I'm not sure yet about what it will be.. I'd love to build something like baraka, but I need money and a TV channel is offering me good money...

With a D90 you may have more freedom to move.. I want try soon with something small like a MK2, 7D or GH1 and a small sound recorder. Some places a mid sized camera is not welcome, like borders, private events (inside someones house..) etc..

My concern is about quality, if its well accept in broadcast industry, because much of them have fear to hear these names, they dont try the quality, but say its unacceptable, because its not a "broadcasting camera" blablblablabl...
