I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question as I can't find a 'pre-production' thread. Please tell me if you think I should move it somewhere else. Thanks!
I recently edited a 6 minute promo/teaser for a story about a bush pilot friend of mine that went missing in Venezuela.
Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv4LnAALNSA
I just really want to see this story told right. Besides the back story about Bob Norton being missing, his best friend, Bob Edwards is pioneering a massive search effort to locate him. Teams of amazing engineers, NASA scientists, drone development companies, search & rescue teams, and outdoor equipment companies have donated time, equipment, money, and more to help find Bob.
It's rare to find so many people from so many diverse backgrounds willing to give so much to help with a cause - especially to be designing and developing ground-breaking techniques for search and rescue.
What I'm really looking for is someone who sees this as a story of value and has connections and ideas for how this story could get on TV. It's not about making money, it's not about fame, it's about a compelling story.
I don't have connections and I live in California and the search team is based in Tennessee - so I'm really not in a position to do any more than what I've done and hope it helps inspire someone to take it on from here.
Thanks for your time, and please feel free to give me any comments!
