TDK Tapes

I have been using TDK tapes with my old camera and I just bought a brand new DVX100B today and I have no idea if the TDK Tapes I was using before are good enough for this 'monster of a camera'. Any thoughts on if these are good or not? and what should i get instead of the TDKs?

thanks!!!

TDK tapes are generally crap. They stretch, they flake -- don't use 'em.

Most people around here will recommend Panasonic MQs, which are good, high-quality tapes.

I used MQ's the first 5 tapes. But started getting jobs where clients insisted I use their stock they already purchased. Told them I wouldn't use anything but MQ's. They had premiums. Decided the Sony were going to be better than the TDK.

Then switched to SONY Premiums completely. Been running the SONY Prem's 2 years now no probs

Just pick a good brand and stick with it. Don't go switching brands all of the time. The bulk of your problems can arise from switching tape brands.
