tc preset won't continuosly keep going if camera is turned off

please help

When I try to make two cameras with similiar timecodes by matching the tc presets at time of day. When I turn my camera off the timecode stops rolling but the other camera keeps it's time of day.

Can't figure out what is wrong with my camera

Tcg is set to free run
First rec tc is set to preset
Tc preset is set to a time like (08:00:00:00)

When I turn my camera off that number stops rolling until I turn it back on

Other DVX cameras keep the time code rolling even when the camera is turned off

Can't figure out why my camera timecode stops rolling but other camera can hold the time of day

so i think i figured this one out so I will pass on what I figured out

i took my camera to my service guy to get a cleaning and asked him about this...he said that the date/time/timecode generator runs on a seperate battery so if you turn the camera off or take the battery off it will keep your timecode. That battery goes out every 3 to 5 years he said....so that is what appears to have happend and he is replacing the battery. He said it is a bit tricky to change but nothing too crazy

maybe this happens to no one.....
