TASCAM DR-60D Review

If you mean Tekkeons, I have several of them. They are no where near AB quality, but perform well for a price. I use one to power my 302 and 680 in bag and it works great, though I had to have a dual output cable made or you will need a power strip. They are pretty handy with variable voltage outputs and a USB out as well, so can charge your pad and phone and power something else at the same time.

I have used a Tekkeon to power a dr100 via USB and also use one for a motorized slider, accessory monitor, and more. I've been going that way to reduce the huge collection of different batteries in my kit. It is such a huge expense to maintain them all.

Any in depth thoughts on the preamps? I like the D60 for the form factor over the h6, but for some reason in the reviews people seem to gloss over the preamps by either making short hand comments or not mentioning them at all. In my experience, a low noise floor is as important as it gets in terms of unit's capability.

Do you have any thoughts?

I had no noise problems with the preamps. They are clean. I think unremarkable can be a good thing at times. :)

I didin't try them with very low sensitivity mics like old ribbons because that seemed an unlikely application.
