Tascam DR-100 MarkII audio out of sync

Hi, I was reading some reviews on the DR-100 MarkII and there was an issue about audio drifting out of sync with recordings on camera on long shots. Is this something that can be fixed by firmware updates? Thanks for any inputs on this.
 
No, it's not something that can be solved with firmware upgrades. This is a product of non-sync sound recording and it doesn't matter which recorder you use. It's explained in THIS STICKY... scroll down to "A Note About Drift".

As I said in my previous post: This is a product of non-sync sound recording and it does not matter which recorder you use. Now, some recorders are better than others, but you're going to experience drift on anything that isn't locked to a master clock with the camera. Did you read the sticky?
