Yayy... the Rode lav mic with micon 5 works just fine with the Tascam DR-40 and on phantom power.
Thank you Richard and Rick for your feedback!! Thank you especially Richard for dealing with my emails while I was having trouble getting onto dvxuser. You're a good sport.
Here's a test vid. It's my first time using such mics or syncing audio, so feel free to let me know if anything sounds wonky. I'll do some more tests in the weeks ahead with more attention to detail.
