targa sequence in Avid Xpress

Someone told me a targa sequence is the best way out of After Effects. But I don't think Avid Xpress can import a targa sequence (essentially a folder full of individual, sequential still images). What's the best way out of After Effects back into Avid Xpress? Quicktime Movie-Animation?

Any advice appreciated as always.

Cheers.

It can do a Targa sequence import. IMO, its easier to just do an Animation compressed QT mov beacause it is just one file for Xpress w/o mojo.

WITH mojo, just render a 1:1 OMF out of AE for quick import.

If you don't have a Mojo then doing an image sequence will convert the colorspace to 4:2:0 instead of 4:1:1 which is handy in AE.

Avid will accept targa sequences. Just have "Detect sequental files" checked in the import settings and point Avid to the first tga.

Hey, Mcgee, I don't have a mojo (I wish!). But you and Krestofre seem to know more than my 400 page Avid manual. The import of the targa sequence worked. Your rewards will be in Heaven (though I ain't promisin' no virgins).

Avid have removed the limit to work with 1:1 media without a Mojo in Xpress Pro 5.5 on Mac and PC.

No kidding? Now, where did I put that upgrade? :)

EDIT TO ADD: Just checked 5.5.1 on Mac. 1:1 import for 30i projects. Nice. Still no uncompressed for 23.976 projects though. :(
