I apologize in advance if this has been answered. I've been searching the 16:9 threads for hours, and they seem to never end.
I want to shoot with the DVX100B in the 4:3 mode, but will crop to 16:9 in post. I know there are adhesives that I can purchase that will display the aspect ratios on the LCD, but I just want to tape it off. I've taped off in the past by shooting an aspect ratio chart, but I don't like this method.
Could I simply set the LCD display to 16:9 for a moment, tape the LCD off, then reset it to 4:3? Would this yield accurate results? Thanks.
