truthfully I wouldn't use either of those tapes, havn't heard of the panasonic ones. I only use panasonic MQ 63min tapes. nothing else shall ever touch my camera heads. I have over 200 hrs on the camera now and rarely have I experienced a dropout. But if you really want to use a different tape, I don't think there would be anything wrong with it, just use the same brand and model tape always. Don't switch brands or even use a different tape stock. If you are using the Panasonic tapes, switching to jvc is probably safe, but I still wouldn't do it. You never know.
