I have had my dvx100b for about 3 months and have used about 10 tapes and 2 different brands. I have not used the panasonic recommended ones. However, I just purchased the right panasonic tapes, but should I use a head cleaning tape first. And if so, which model and company. They had one at radioshack, but it wasn't panasonic.

were the first 10 tapes panasoic? u shud be fine

if there sony or soemthing else, def do a head clean
