Tapes in different cams

I have a bunch of unused PQ's that were stored in my room for a longer period of time.
Is it ok if I FF-REW these in a cheap JVC Camcorder, before I start using them in my DVX?
I don't want to use DVX for FF-REW all of these tapes, and I ask this 'cause I don't know if mixing camcorders with same tape will have any impact on DVX's heads and mechanism afterwards (debris, lubing, tape tension etc.)

Thanks.

as a side note i use an old camera to capture my dvx footage - this camera has used many tape brands in the past. If i've only used up part of the tape i then put that mq pany tape back in my dvx (which has only used mq tape) - am i going to gunk up my dvx heads this way?

Come On !!! Don't you know about the Tape SIN ???

It's about changing various brands or various types of the same brand ...
Also, don't ever use liquid-type tapes ... It will cause drop-outs as you go along ...

I only use Panasonic's AMQ-type ... These are highest quality dry-type known to me ... To my knowledge PQ's are liquid-type (do verify it) ... If that's the case don't even use brand-new liquid-type ... older one's are of-course out of question here ... DON'T YOU LOVE YOUR DVX baby ...

The same rule applies to mini Rewinder (which one is the best - I'm also looking to buy it)...

If you have any concerns go and search for changing the brands and types ... and if you won't you'll suffer from drop-out plaque ...

Any suggestions ...

To my knowledge, PQ's are DRY LUBE.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Haroon, what do you consider by "liquid-type older one's"?
