What is the best way to archive your footage when there is no tape? Is it better to backup your data to another firewire drive, which is mechanical and could fail...or burn your footage 4.7gigs at a time to a DVD?
Either approach is acceptable. The best concept for reliable backup is redundancy. DVDs are cheap enough to justify making a second set for the really important material.
