Hey,
I just purchased a used DVX-100A with only 76 hours on it. I tested everything out to make sure that it fit it's "excellent condition" description and it did until I started hearing a ticking noise coming from the tape deck as I was recording. I captured the tape into FCP to see if the sound was being picked up by the on camera mics and it was.
I used my school's DVX-100's for a majority of my projects and never remembered hearing this noise or the motor during zooms so loudly. Obviously I can't have a ticking noise running throughout my audio track.
I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being paranoid and should keep the camera. Or if I should return it within the 7 day return policy. Or if I should look into getting it repaired if it's relatively cheap.
What you can you suggest?
Thanks!
