Tape Measure Spot?

Where should I start the tape measure on the camera, does it have a latch to put the tape? I see a small hole on the right side near the lens, just making sure if that's it or not. Thank you.

Measuring for focus is great if there is something to reference on the lens in terms of focal distance. The camera does have the option to display the focus in feet/meters but this is so imprecise that there is no reason to do so.

Plus, the common way to measure focus is to hold the base of the tape measure are the lens and pull the tape out from there so you can see the distance on the tape right at the lens.

I see no need to use a tape if you are not using a 35mm adapter. Bare camera just zoom in set focus zoom out to frame your shot or use the focus assist.
