Tape hits

I seem to be getting a lot of tape hits recently.
I am using Panasonic DVM63MQ master quality.

I used to average one small hit per tape.
Now I am getting 4-5 and there are much worse.
It looks like a thin ripple that scrolls bottom to top through the image.

What makes it worse- I finally booked a big job and the footage must be clean for broadcast. I'm dead if I get back to the edit suite and the tape has hits.

Anyone else have this happen with this kind of tape?
or is it something with the camera heads?

I think you need to have your heads cleaned as soon as possible.

Agreed. Get her in for a professional cleaning and everything should be fine.

be sure you ask how they clean it when you call a repair place. I had somewhere just run a tape cleaner through it and they called that professionally cleaning it.
