Tape Door Won't Close

I have a tape door that won't close. Somehow it got open , I never use it, and now it won't close. The cassette holder inside will not go down so the door can close. I don't see anything obstructing it below and the battery is charged. Any ideas?

I'll answer my own question. Switched over from P2 to tape mode, turned the power off/on and then it closed. Thank God!

I haven't use my tape mush but you can try this if you haven't.
With the camera off in the back of the camera there is a switch to change from P2 to tape. I can't remember what the marking are but they are toward the bottom to the left of the battery.
Switch it to the right and turn the camera on. That you set you on tape mode.
