Tape differences...

Hey there,

Don't know if anyone can answer this question, but I thought I'd try. I've only been using Panasonic DVM60 tapes with my DVX, but now, through our school, we were able to get 10 Panasonic DVM63 tapes. I've always stuck to one tape, just because of the lubricant differences, but I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not these tapes are similar or completely different.

Since you've been using Panasonic tapes, just stick with them. At this point you really only have to be concerned if you go outside of Panasonic tapes.

Okay. But I thought I had heard at one time that these two tapes still used different lubricants. Was I just mistaken? Should all Panasonic brand tapes be the same sort of lubricant tape?

Well, I'm nt 1000% sure but this has been discussed a few times here before and what I stated above is what I've learned.....
