Tamron and Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 to choose from?

Here is another option, the Tokina AT-X Pro 28-70mm f/2.8 is less wide but still works for interviews, from what I've read, the pluses are:
-The barrel does not extend when zooming.
-Aperture ring.
-Excellent price on Ebay.
-Good image quality and color.

At 70mm yes! but 28mm up to 50mm it´s fine at 8" and 9" from the person. Yesterday perform several tests of distance and the focal length that I found right was between 35mm and 50mm, for that in my personal taste. Of course if you do not have much space to record more would need a wide lens.
