It looks like I will be moving from my Canon 60D to a FS100...now for my lens problem. I absolutly love the Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 VC and wanted to get that but noticed Tamron doesn't make a VC version for Sony :( :(
I really need image stabilization and I wanted a fast zoom (at least 2.8) with this wide angle (around 17mm) for about the same price (around $500) ...am I out of luck?
I wrote to Tamron asking if one is on the horizon but no word. Why did they make one for the other cameras but not Sony?

you might be pretty SOL on image stabilization. I have the tamron 17-50 nonvc nikon mount, i like it for hand held work or normal-lens steadicam work.

I had the non VC version but the IS has saved me much time. I may go for a AF100 if this is the case

Sorry i don't know anything about sony cameras as I don't have mine yet. Don't know what OS (guessing optical stabilization) is or Alpha or e-mount ....eek.
I stupidly assumed all sony lenses fit on all sony cameras :(
