Hey all, I just bought the tamrac expedition 8 to house my af100, lenses, monitor etc and was wondering if anyone else has it? If so how do you divide it up any tips? I was thinking about leaving my camera in there even when at home, does anyone see any problems with that as it would be vertical for long periods of time albeit well cushioned and I often wrap it in a towel. Sorry if this seems uneeded but such an expensive piece of kit that I love I get VERY paranoid. Some one calm me down!

Are there environmental conditions that you need to be concerned about? For example if you are in a humid climate you might want to store your equipment in a sealed container like a hard case with silica gel. Other than that, storing it where using it becomes a production tends to hinder frequent use.

Hey no environmental conditions to speak of, maybe one day when i go canada and on the plane but apparently the bag should be carry on compatible which was important for me. And sorry I dont understand your final sentence, do you mean its a good idea to leave it in the bag so I can get to it easier?

Does anyone think having my af 100 on its side in my bag stored in my house would be ok? It wont mess anything up being stored on its side (handle strap facing up) ?

I've found that rotating the camera to a different side every couple of days helps maintain its original shape. Been doing this since the day I got it and it looks exactly the same as when I originally took it out of the box.
