Taking the Plunge - Where to Buy?

Can anyone recommend a good place online to buy the 5D Mark II body? I've decided to take the plunge, and am looking for a good reputable retailer who will have a realistic return policy. I'm slightly worried about hot pixels, as this camera will be used pretty much only for video, so I keep reading to make sure and buy from a place that will take it back if the pixels are bad enough?

Lots of good prices on eBay, but I'd rather pay more and have a good place to deal with.

Looking for recs.

Thanks,

Tim

I like getting stuff from B & H but I have heard horror stories about their return policy.
It might be a good idea to see what their policy is before buying stuff you might need to return.

Yeah, I don't buy from B&H, and tend to avoid all the 'east coast camera' shops. The products always arrive, but if you ever have to deal with them, everyone is grouchy, completely unhelpful. I bought a tripod from B&H and I just found it was the wrong one for me once I tried it out a bit in the house. Returned it right away, called B&H and the guy gave me a total guilt trip "Well didn't you research what you wanted before you ordered it?"

So no more. Abes of Maine, bought a camera from them, they immediately called to try and upsell me on every possible accessory I could want, and when I was adamant I just wanted the camera, it was as if I had insulted the guy's mother.

Screw places like that. That's why I was asking for recs, would love to give me business to a smaller independent company than Best Buy or Amazon, but if those are the places I have to shop to have the ability to return it easy enough if something is wrong, then I guess they get my business.

Take your pick:

I've bought cameras and other stuff from Buydig, Buy.com, Tigerdirect, Adorama, and B&H with no issues. Adorama has a nasty habit of not telling you something isn't in stock until well after you make an order online. B&H is just a big volume dealer and little else but has the absolute lowest prices on only certain things. I've had outstanding transactions with Buydig and you're almost always best off to check eBay first if you're looking for lowest price.

i bought from this canon authorize dealer on ebay. I bought many equipment from them before. I switch back to canon and bought 5d mk ii, 16-35 II, 24-70, 24-105, 50L, 85L from this vendor in the past 2 weeks. Excellent shipping, communication. Return policies are good also (used it twice last years , my mistake when order)
