Hey I was wondering can you removet the color in the dvx viewscreen? When I want to just see the contrast when lighting, this way I will see more detail in the shoot.

simply turning the colour view finder in to black and white wont make it any better for focusing in my opinion. The reason that black and white viewfinders are better for focusing is because they are only grey scale and are not havin g to deal with colour. This means that they can run in a higher resolution, and therefore produce sharper images which are easier to focus.

B&W viewfinders on full-fledged professional cameras differ from those on prosumer cameras in one huge way: they're CRT's, not LCD's. A B&W CRT viewfinder on a Sony DSR390 is so incredibly absurdly unbelievably superior to any LCD viewfinder that you can easily see why someone might give up color! But B&W LCD's don't help much. Might make the peaking function a little easier to distinguish on a 100A though.
