Taking footage from EX1 to Mac Pro (Not MBP)

Hi, so I'm still learning this great camera, but I had to send my MBP to get fixed, and was wondering if anyone knew if you could take footage from the EX1 to a Mac Pro, since there aren't slots for the SXS cards on there. Can I run a fire wire cable to it? I've searched around and haven't found an answer. Any ideas?

Connect the EX-1 via USB and mount the cards like a USB drive. Then either copy the BPAV folders or just ingest directly into FCP.

Please, i hate to sound stupid/needy, but I if anyone can give me some dumby proof - Step by step instructions that would be great.

to import directly from the EX-1 using their USB cable you will need this plug in for FCP...
XDCAM_EX_Log_and_Transfer_Plugin_1_0_0.dmg

after installed you will hook up your EX-1 with the supplied USB cable and then in FCP select "Log and Transfer"....NOT "Log and Capture". the only drawback is that it doesnt come in very fast. no more than 2x speed but it will work.

good luck!
