Taking camera to warm climate...

Just booked a vacation trip to Puerto Rico for Memorial Day weekend and I know its gonna be hot down there. What are any precautions I should consider while using my camera down there in terms of the humidity. I am just worried the Condensation light will start flashing or something. I want to take it to the RainForest if I decide to go there while I am there.

The DVX handles humidity pretty well, and I had no problems with it in a tropical climate. Condensation would only happen if you keep changing temperatures....I guess you might have to turn off the air conditioning in the hotel room (if that's where you're staying.)
The mics are a different story though, and some had trouble with it...

U should be fine, I spent half a year in a Central America, and that is as tropical as it gets, especially in the wet season which is when i was there. I picked up some silica hydra-absorbent packs from B&H and threw one in my camera bag, and one in my tape bag. To be honest I couldnt tell u if they made a difference or not, my camera performed well in the climate, and is still going strong.
