TA5F connector LAVs

i have never used a lav before and i'm not sure exactly how the connection works with this ta5f sonotrim.

in order to do a wired connection to a mixer or recorder, do i connect an xlr cable to the power supply? what about if i wanted to go wireless? which lectrosonics system would i need?

- For hardwired use with that particular Sonotrim mic, plug the mic into the XLR adapter/power supply via the TA5 connection, plug the PS into the mixer via an XLR cable. If the PS does not have the battery option, you need to engage Phantom Power (better then battery anyway).
That particular Sonotrim mic would work with the older type non-servo U series Lectro transmitters. Buy the system then get the appropriate wired mic.
