What can I say?
The little Rebel t2i can do it all.
The pictures are amazing (Tamron 17-50 2.8, Canon kit lens, Rolleinar 33 1.4) and the videos have wowed most people who have seen them.

I was assisting a professional photographer, doing mostly videos and some pictures. He used high end Nikon equiptment and I can say there is no perceivable difference between the image quality of his pics and mine.
Except the Canon video would have been better than his, had he shot video as well.
The editing is satisfactory on my AMD 6 core machine, though I'm readying the purchase of the CUDA enabled GTX 440 Nvidia based video card to speed editing.
In all, I am very satisfied with the T2i. I've shot a lot this year, thanks mostly to its portablity.
