t2i bummer - no power cable as yet

If you have a long shoot in the immediate future think again if u r going t2i

at the moment there is NO power cord for these

canon have not yet released it ACK-E8

but the good news is that when it is released B&H will sell it for $67

just checked, no spare batts either!

come on canon!

Samy's camera says the power cord ACK-E8 is in stock but its $85 from them
Hoping this comes in stock everywhere else soon.

Are there generic ones for the T1i? If so, there will probably be cheaper generic ones for the T2i.

The t1i and T2i dont share the same battery so you cant cross over any cheap china stuff for it.

But if your saying that wait and there will be cheap stuff, then yes, I'm sure you are right

Yes I know the batteries are different. If a generic manufacturer is willing to make ones for the T1i, I'm sure they will do the T2i as well.

It looks like the power cable ACK E8 might be starting to show up. I just bought one from B&H but it looks like I got the last one as they are now out of stock again.

Prior to buying at B&H I called Samy's – they have 35 of these in stock but they cost a little more. $85
