Anybody see the TV Guide cover? Jason Fox as "the good doctor" is on the cover and Lost is being spotlighted. (why is it not "spotlit"?) The small print says it is the 1st of a series of 16 covers. No, I did not buy it. But thought it was interesting to see it getting the attention. Hope it (the show) stays around.

Haven't seen the TV guides yet. LOST is also on the cover of this month's American Cinematographer. According to the show's executives however, it's not considered a bona fide hit until the show's seen five years and is in syndication. For more on this quote, and how Hawaii may lose out on LOST check out this link here. I hope the state will be able to keep the show :-/. Or that it remains successful for that matter.

Hey OZ, I was out there in Hawaii back in November shooting behind the scenes stuff on the LOST set. Although it was a long shooting day and just about got taking out by one of the waves as I shot some stuff along the beach, I had a blast out there!

The episode I was shooting aired the first week in January.

I think it's great the show is getting so much attention, so it will hopefully stay on the air many more years. I heard that the writers for the show actually have the story planned out through season 5, so they might actually answer all our questions. It would be great to figure out why there are polar bears on a tropical island, or if they even exist outside the characters' heads.

Aloha Chuck! Glad you enjoyed your stay. Must have been a lot more fun because of the shoot. I couldn't help but smile at the wave comment, it can be dangerous here. The ocean is unpredictable enough in some areas that locals recommend keeping an eye on the water at all times - never turn your back. One second you could be fine and dry, and in the next you could be swallowing gallons of ocean, fighting for air (it's happened to me before).

Was it your first time in Hawaii? Drop me a PM next time you're visiting, I'll let you know where to go beyond the tourist locations. But then again, I bet you got to see some wonderful locations because of the shoot. Please share those photos with us!

My sister goes to the University of Hawaii and has run into their set several times, I wish I could do that....

My dad actually has a recurring spot on lost. So I've been watching it and it's quite good.
I think hes got some pictures of the set. I'll try to get them up.

PDX what set does she run into because they shoot all the beach scenes on the North Shore of Waialua. Obviously they shoot the flashbacks elsewhere. I keep forgetting to upload my pics from the set. Hopefully I will get around to it this weekend when i have some time.

It started in Australia a couple of weeks ago. I've never watched it as I thought it'd be rubbish because it was so hyped, like the OC.

Guess it's not. Tough **** for me ;D

Here are some stills from my shoot on the set of LOST in Hawaii. I made these stills from freeze frames then had to de-interlace the shots to get rid of the lines. This particular episode already aired the 1st week in January. I also have pics from my shoot on the set of Desperate Housewives that I will post soon.

hmmmm thats weird...they come right up for me. The website that I uploaded them to said to copy and paste that whole link into whatever site I wanted the pics to show up in. I don't know how to actually have the pics visible when you click on the post though.
